Tesla Model 3 the top selling car in the Netherlands ( September )
Didn’t they do well ! …. Tesla has popped a couple of bottles of champagne because of their recent success in the Netherlands. Tesla Model 3 is now the best selling car in the land of tulips and clogs and overtook the big selling Volkswagen Polo to achieve top place.
Tesla sold 5,768 Model 3s in September, a near four fold increase to their August performance. ( According to Bovag) the Dutch Motor Traders Association.
Tesla also won top prize as the most popular car brand in the country for the month….. Drinks all round !
Demand for the Model 3 also made Tesla the most popular car brand in the country for the month.
The Tesla 3 costs around €43,000++ in Europe and has achieved huge inroads into the EV Marketplace due to price and 240 miles (386 km) on a single charge. They better watch out as the VW ID.3 is due to arrive in showrooms early next year with a price tag of under €30,000 and a base battery set-up 205 miles (330kms)
Finally, an important point to note…In the Netherlands as in all successful EV selling countries, the sales of EVs are highly influenced by the offering of tax incentives…take note politicians….if you want EVs ( and you certainly do !) get off your backside and do something about it….talk is cheap, but we need some positive action for the climate and the world.
