GM launched their new electric platform and a joint venture with LG Chem and a budget of $2.3 Billion. The new platform and their huge investment demonstrates GMs commitment to electric vehicles. A 400mile range and a 0-60mph of around 3 seconds is also being claimed.

A company called Gridserve are constructing their first solar powered charging station in the UK. Excitingly, they are promising 100 of these stations, which is excellent news. Well done Gridserve.

The New Fiat 500e doesn’t come cheap. It’s a busy marketplace that Fiat is entering with Honda, Renault, Dacia not to mention little old Volkswagen. So Fiat has some work to do.

The all new VW ID.4 may sit on the same platform as ID.3 but it’s a different animal on the surface. A compact SUV that is promising a 500Km range. Hopefully we’ll see a competitive price sticker on the car when it is officially launched later this year.

The New ALL Electric BMW i4 will be available in 2021. It has an impressive 523bhp and a 373-mile range. This is BMW trying very hard to put their stamp on the Electric Car Marketplace…it’s certainly got the all right features to be a winner.

Keep your wallets or purses in your pockets….this is going to be the most affordable EV ( whatever that means ) when it arrives next year (2021). On first sight it looks quite cool but the China made Renault City K-ZE sells in China for just €8000.00 so we’ll have to wait and check out the quality.
