The Sion has a range of 34 km (21 miles) utilising built in solar panels on the surface of the car. Using traditional (EV) electric charging the car has a range of 250 km (155 miles) on a full charge

This clever little car will be fitted with a bi-directional charging function to receive electricity and also to feed power to other cars or into the electricity grid. The Sion also gets brownie points for having pre installed sharing options, which allow the owner to offer rides via an app.

Sono says the car will be priced at a competitive €25,500 (euros) and that they have already taken orders for around 10,000 units. Sono are also busy developing new vehicles based on the Sion’s platform and hope to having something for the public to see in the not too distant future.
