The first electrically driven CUV (Crossover Utility Vehicle)
The ID. CROZZ is Volkswagen's first electrically powered crossover utility vehicle (CUV) – a four-door coupé and sports utility vehicle (SUV) in one.
VW want the Cross to be all things to all men & women. A kind of electric Swiss army knife.
The interior –The ID. CROZZ has no B-pillars, the large pivoting and sliding doors can open wide, allowing the driver to transport even a bike easily.
The new ID. CROZZ is an emissions-free vehicle with an electric 4MOTION all-wheel drive system . There is an engine on each of the front and rear axles, and power distribution is regulated via an electric propshaft. The 225 kW (system power) the car has a range of 500 kilometres (NEDC**) per battery charge.
With a centrally integrated battery and two drive units in the front and rear, the ID. CROZZ’s weight is well balanced. It boasts handling features on a similar level to that of a Golf GTI but that remains to be seen. This in part is due to the running gear with electronic damping control, a newly developed multi-link rear suspension and new MacPherson suspension struts.
